The Nourish Project Continues on a Gluten Free and Dairy Free Diet

If you’re looking at my blog and wondering if I fell off of the face of the Earth since November, I don’t blame you.  But I’m here, definitely!  Basically, since I knew that I’d be moving my blog from The Nonuttin’ Notes to my new one at , I thought I’d put off posting until all of the new sites ( and ) were up.  I fully expected that to be in December.

We just ran into so many glitches that we’re finally getting the new websites and this new blog up today!  I’m so happy it’s all finally coming together that I could go dancing naked in the streets.  Getting arrested and terrifying small children isn’t in my plans though.

What I can tell you is that I’m still continuing the Nourish Project on myself although it’s taken a few zigs and zags.  I took up Zumba during the winter months and even bought myself a juicer in June.  After testing negative for Celiac Disease, it’s become evident that I now am dairy and gluten intolerant.  While I’ve been an allergy wife and mother for more years than I can count, this is the first time that I’ve truly had to avoid certain foods (beyond the usual healthy choices) for myself and it’s been a great challenge.  Especially when I started my dairy and gluten free journey while traveling on holidays!

While I’m still learning to love kale in my juice and have given up Zumba to walk outside for our beautifully sunny summer, I am moving ahead with nourishing body and soul.  If you’ve got any great gluten free, nut free and dairy free recipes (not to mention free of shrimp, clams, chickpeas and kiwi), please feel free to share.  I’m also looking for any great juicing recipes that give me my greens without tasting too much like it. Is it too much to ask?
