World Food Day October 16 – Help Make a Difference

Thursday, Ocotober 16 is World Food Day and we’re asking for your help in making an impact.

World Food Day was established by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 1945.  The first World Food Day was observed in 1981 on October 16 which continues today.  Organizations in over 150 countries around the world organize campaigns and events to encourage both citizens and governments to work together to end world hunger, malnutrition and poverty.

Whether you’ve got medical conditions that limit your diet or you simply can’t get enough food, every person on the planet deserves access to appropriate amounts of healthy food whether that’s in our own communities or halfway around the world.  We can work together to help.

Here’s what we pledge to do on World Food Day:

For all orders in our online stores (both Canada and the USA) made on Thursday, October 16, we will give a total of 30% of the amount of the order (before shipping and taxes) in the following way:

  1. 10% off automatically for your family
  2. 10% to our local food banks in Libre Naturals’ products
  3. 10% in cash to the Freedom from Hunger Organization which is Rated an A on Charity Watch

All money we donate to the Freedom from Hunger Organzation will also be doubled because until October 28th Jane Pauley and her husband Garry Trudeau are doubling the donations up to $25 000.

So you and your family benefit, our local community benefits and worldwide we make an impact.  And you can feel awesome knowing that you made a difference!
